Phantom Tollbooth

I haven’t come across a great childrens book in awhile, but kudos to my instructor Frank Migliorelli. Phantom Tollbooth is really funny and great. I am reading it with my 8 year old son and he really loves it. The way it is written is charming and sweetly funny. The vocabulary is quite advanced so the book can function on a kid or adult level.

I am up to chapter 4 just after the main characters arrival at ” Dictionaropolis”.

Frank Migliorelli’s Interactive Design for Children is shaping up to be a great experience, one of the strengths of the ITP program at NYU is the ability to tackle challenging processes without fear, and also without pedantic structure… it really is up to the student to make the most of this.
